Ricardo Martins โ€” AI Infrastructure, Cloud Architecture, Kubernetes

Profile views GitHub followers

Hey, I'm Ricardo ๐Ÿ‘‹

Principal Solutions Engineer at Microsoft โ€” I help AI-native startups and ISVs build, scale, and operate GPU workloads on Azure. I specialize in AI infrastructure, Kubernetes operations, and Azure reliability & capacity engineering โ€” helping customers navigate GPU constraints through proactive capacity planning, quota management, and observability.

๐Ÿ’ป I've been working with IT Infrastructure since 2003 and with Cloud Solutions since 2012 in multiple companies, from startups to big enterprises. My experience has brought me multicultural and diverse expertise in working with customers and companies from different industries (telco, media, retail, education, oil and gas). In 2015, I joined Microsoft where I built strong skills in different roles like Cloud Architect, Technical Trainer, and Infrastructure Engineer. In January 2023, I joined Red Hat as Managed OpenShift Black Belt, where I had the opportunity to work at the world's leading provider of open-source solutions with cloud-native technologies. It was a unique experience, akin to drinking water straight from a fire hydrant. Then in April 2024, I returned to Microsoft as a Principal Solutions Engineer in the Digital Native's team, working with the most innovative late-stage startups on the planet, helping them to succeed on Azure.

I have been educating, designing, training, and building cloud solutions for a diverse and challenging set of enterprise customers. I'm experienced in Linux and open-source implementations, infrastructure, cloud computing, networking, high availability and n-tier architecture design. Always working with ownership and deep involvement in the full process life cycle, from conception and design to infrastructure implementation, instrumentation, and testing.

๐Ÿ‘ Special interests: AI Infrastructure, GPU/Kubernetes Operations, Azure Reliability & Capacity Engineering, Linux & OSS, AIOps & Observability, Infrastructure as Code, FinOps, and Content Development.

๐Ÿ’ฌ I'm a huge passionate about communities, tech talks, and an evangelist of Cloud and DevOps culture. I truly believe in "We Learn. We Share. We Thrive." โ€” so I've been creating and sharing technical content actively. I like to be known for being someone who unblocks the potential of others, especially through knowledge sharing and tech evangelism.
