I’m a community college IT instructor exploring what it means to teach, learn, and lead in an AI-augmented world.
My work lives at the intersection of technology, education, and human connection, where AI supports thinking, not replaces it. I design learning experiences that help students not only write code, but understand how to think, build, and adapt in a rapidly changing digital landscape.
Currently pursuing an EdD in Educational Leadership, focused on the future of online learning, student engagement, and human-centered design.
- AI should enhance learning, not shortcut it
- Students learn best by building real things that matter
- Teaching is not just content delivery—it’s presence, clarity, and connection
- The future of education is both technical and deeply human
At Wake Tech Community College, I:
- Integrate AI tools (GitHub Copilot, prompt workflows) into programming courses
- Design project-based, portfolio-driven curriculum
- Create space for students to experiment, reflect, and iterate
- Bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application
- Front-End: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React
- Back-End: Node.js, Express, ASP.NET Core MVC
- Databases: SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB
- Tools: Git, GitHub, VS Code
- Cloud: Azure, AWS
- CMS: WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify
- 🤖 AI + Education (prompting, pair programming, ethical use)
- 🎓 Human-centered online teaching practices
- 🛠️ Real-world student projects & portfolio design
- ✍🏽 Writing & reflection through Em Dash
- 🎥 Creating approachable, student-first tech content
Think of this GitHub as a working studio:
- Teaching demos & starter code
- Student project examples
- Curriculum builds & experiments
- AI workflows and classroom integrations
Everything here is built to be shared, remixed, and improved.

Why? Because an em dash represents — a pause. A shift. A continuation.
Not just what we build—but how we think while building it.
Thanks for being here.
