You will see a list of versions and files. Pick the latest release for Windows.

1. Visit the Release Page: Follow this link:

2. Find the Latest Version: The top item usually has the newest version number and release date.

3. Download the Installer or ZIP: Look for a file ending in .exe or .zip. The .exe file is the easiest option unless you prefer to install manually using the ZIP.

4. Run the Installer:

   • If you downloaded the .exe file, double-click it.
   • Follow the on-screen instructions.
   • Choose the installation folder or accept the default.

5. Manual Setup (for ZIP):

   • Extract the ZIP file to a folder.
   • Open the folder and find the executable file.

Once installed, open the program by:

The main screen will show options to:

• Open a MIDI file
• Create a new project
• View recent files

The interface helps you work step by step.

Click Open, then find and select a MIDI file (.mid) on your computer.

The app shows tracks, notes, instruments, and timing information clearly.

Change notes by selecting and dragging. You can add or delete notes using the buttons.

Apply multiple edits in order. The software keeps the original data safe as you try new ideas.

Press Play to hear your edits. This feature helps you compare before and after.

Click Save or Save As to keep the new MIDI file on your computer. You can overwrite the original or create a new file.

• 100 MB free disk space for installation
• Basic MIDI files (.mid) supported

MIDIToolkit won’t open:
Make sure your Windows updates are current. Try running the app as Administrator (right-click > Run as Administrator).

Can’t open MIDI files:
Check if the file is corrupted or in a supported format (Standard MIDI files, .mid). Other music file types are not supported.

Playback has no sound:
Check your speakers or headphones connection. Make sure no other app is blocking MIDI sound.
