shareflow-kvm lets you use one keyboard and mouse on more than one computer. It also shares your clipboard, so you can copy on one device and paste on another. It works over your local network, so your Windows and macOS machines can stay on the same desk and still act like one setup.
Use it when you want to:
- Move the mouse from one computer to another
- Type on more than one device with one keyboard
- Copy text on Windows and paste it on macOS
- Keep your desk free of extra input devices
- Send small files between devices on your network
shareflow-kvm is made for desktop use on Windows and macOS.
You will need:
- Windows 10 or Windows 11
- A second computer with macOS, or another supported desktop on the same LAN
- A working local network connection
- A mouse and keyboard connected to one of the computers
- Permission to install and run apps on your PC
For the best result, keep both devices on the same Wi-Fi or wired network.

- Move the mouse to the edge of the screen to switch to the next device.

If the app shows a pairing or connection code, enter the same code on both devices.
Once it is set up, day-to-day use is simple.
- Move your mouse to the edge of one screen to reach the next computer
- Use your keyboard as normal
- Copy text on one machine and paste it on the other
- Keep working without changing keyboards or mice
- Return to your main PC by moving the cursor back
If your setup includes more than two devices, arrange them in the same order they sit on your desk.
shareflow-kvm can share clipboard content across devices.
That means you can:
- Copy text from a web page on Windows
- Paste it into a note app on macOS
- Move short links, snippets, and simple text between machines
- Avoid sending yourself emails just to move text
Clipboard sync works best with plain text and short items.
The app also supports file transfer on a local network.
Use it to:
- Send small work files between devices
- Move images or documents without cloud storage
- Keep files on your own network
- Avoid switching to a USB drive for quick transfers
For large files, use a strong network connection for the best transfer speed.
You may see a few simple options in the app:
- Primary device: the computer that controls the mouse and keyboard
- Screen layout: where the other computer sits in relation to your main screen
- Clipboard sync: lets copy and paste work across devices
- File sharing: turns on transfer between machines
- Startup launch: opens the app when Windows starts
Use the layout that matches your desk. If your second computer is on the left, place it on the left in the app too.
shareflow-kvm works over LAN, so both devices should be easy to reach from each other.
For a smooth setup:
- Keep both devices on the same Wi-Fi network
- Use a wired connection if you want a steadier link
- Close other remote control tools if they cause conflicts
- Allow the app through Windows Firewall if needed
- Keep your devices awake while you use them together
If the connection does not start, check that both computers are using the same router or access point.
- Check the screen layout in the app
- Make sure both devices are connected
- Move the cursor slowly to the screen edge
- Confirm the other computer is running shareflow-kvm
- Copy plain text first
- Check that clipboard sync is on
- Restart the app on both devices
- Make sure both devices stay connected
- Try a smaller file first
- Check network access on both computers
- Make sure both apps are open
- Use the same network on each device
- Right-click the file and choose Run as administrator
- Allow the app through Windows Security when asked
- Make sure the file finished downloading before opening it
If you want to remove shareflow-kvm from Windows:
- Close the app.
- Delete the app folder or downloaded file.
- Remove any shortcut you created.
- Turn off startup launch if you enabled it.
