Hi, I'm Yousif

I'm a technical founder and product leader originally from Baghdad, Iraq. I started my career fixing gaming consoles and selling computer parts before working as a translator for the U.S. Army and transitioning into software development. I came to the United States as a refugee in 2008 and have been building products ever since. Learn more: yabood.com/about

  • Led customer success at AppAssure Software, acquired by Dell; later led product development post-acquisition
  • Recruited by Bain Capital to run Nubisio as CEO; secured a $4M Series A term sheet
  • VP at Cloudistics, later acquired by Fungible (now Microsoft)
  • Founded SocialWeaver, an employee advocacy platform used by Fortune 200 enterprises; launched as #1 Product of the Day on Product Hunt
