move from maven to gradle
use material design
use retrofit for all network requests
use dagger to inject dependencies
use otto event bus to communicate between different parts of the app
use timber and crashlytics for logging and crash reporting

not all functionality is ported: contact, help and settings are not even started, others like adding caches, logs and "my logbook" just wait for GUI
