- Untitled April 10, 2026 4:00 pmAfter playing around with #komga for a while I realized it's actually quite useful not only for comic collections, but also for other more visual books. Like #ttrpg books for example. (Screenshot is of the Komelia app that connects to komga)
- Untitled April 10, 2026 1:38 pmMind you, I think the reviews are real because no company would fake such lackluster reviews. They all come down to "management is shitty, but it's a job"
- Untitled April 10, 2026 1:37 pmAnother recruiter wrote back on LinkedIn. I mean, I assume he wrote back, but I don't remember sending my CV to this company. But I'm not sure if I just didn't or if it was so long ago I don't even remember. The company is incredibly vague as to what exactly it is they are doing (some stuff with IT) I easily might have sent my CV to them, but at least they got some actual reviews on glassdoor.
- Untitled April 9, 2026 6:21 pmInteresting, the Dropkick Murphys did two albums using unused Woody Guthrie lyrics. The songs have, of course, a certain (welcome) bend.Suffice to say, they don't seem to like fascists.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=beF3TnAig8k#music #punk
- Untitled April 8, 2026 1:52 amThe city by the way, has the Caverns of Thracia under it. Something I had hinted at for two years but which only now has borne fruit
- Untitled April 8, 2026 1:32 amThey never figured out the effects the temple can have to those praying there, but on the other hand it also wouldn't have been immediately useful(For reference: offering wine to the statue of Chthon allows to recast one spell already cast that day, but as the person offering anything was not a spellcaster, nor did he offer wine, that didn't have any immediate effect)Chthon, btw, is basically the chtonic aspect of Dionysos.
- Untitled April 8, 2026 1:27 amIt was a bit touch and go as they gnolls were naked and drunk (they were eating a local fruit that intoxicated them), but thanks to some good dice rolls still perfectly able to hit hard. In the end a well-timed sleep spell and a hold person managed to whittle them down though.Cleaning the cave temple released one of the NPCs from the Quest spell he was under (an exchange for treating his lycantrophy a few weeks back).
- Untitled April 8, 2026 1:20 amThey surprised a group of ghouls sniffing around their canoes, then in turn got surprised by a group of lizard men throwing spears at them and disappearing guerilla style. The island contained mostly swamp, strange blue fruit, and a group of gnolls using the temple they were looking for as their private party basement/cess pit.As the place they used for that was a natural cave in the only rocky outcropping of the island they decided to smoke the gnolls out.
- Untitled April 8, 2026 1:15 amThey quickly found themselves an exit into the underground areas of the city, which they hoped would lead to the temple they were looking for. Instead they ran into a group of death cultists standing guard.Luckily (reaction rolls...) they were not looking for a fight, especially as the dwarf player decided to present himself alone. In the end the cultists shooed him off and pointed him to the island south of their location.
- Untitled April 8, 2026 1:10 amAh yes, Glimmermark session 47: my players carefully managed to investigate the city ruins in the swamp they managed to discover last time, trying to find the despoiled temple of Chthon. This involved first having to find some boats to get there.(Mind you, they could have walked through the swamp, but as they last time encountered a large groups of ghouls they were disinclined to do so)#ttrpg #dnd
- Untitled April 7, 2026 4:43 pmSo the three-day Wireless festival has been cancelled, as the headliner for all three days (Kanye West) had his ETA withdrawn. But seriously, how did it even get so far? How are there enough possible people still willing to listen to an artist who sells swastika t-shirts and performs a song called "Heil Hitler"? How did we get to that point?
- Untitled April 7, 2026 7:00 amI've been reading superhero #comics again the last few days and...... you know, ten years ago the villains in those comic books felt over the top in their motivations and actions.I think we all took a wrong turn in the whole "comic books are becoming more realistic" trend. It wasn't reality that was supposed to get supervillains!

- Untitled April 2, 2026 5:40 pmIn an amusing example of "didn't think that through" the vending machine at the sports center I take my kids to only gives 4pln credit when paying by card, but the prices of ALL the items have been set around 6pln now. Effectively cutting themselves off from any business by people who don't carry around loads of coins. But good excuse for me not to buy my kids sweets because they're soooo huuuuungry.
- Untitled April 2, 2026 1:24 pmBTW, DC Comics. Detective Comics Comics.
- Untitled April 2, 2026 1:24 pmI recently learned that Batman was such a success for its publisher other comics decided to put the Detective Comics logo on their cover for a bit of that 2nd hand glory.Comics from other publishers put the DC logo on their covers!albeit some of companies so close to Detective Comics' publisher (National) they soon would be bought up anyway.DC Comics wasn't even officially called that until decades after, even though everyone referred to them as DC anyway
- Untitled April 2, 2026 1:16 pmThis issue was before the entry of the United States into the war, which is why the there are indistinct "foreign agents" trying to cause an international incident and not German ones. (Their leader is definitely coded as old Prussian mobility though)
- Untitled April 2, 2026 12:57 pmCome to think of it, now it makes sense he introduced Robin the next issue: not only a colorful distraction, but also good as a navigator along dark Gotham streets

@gmkeros.wordpress.com I was there playing this game at DragonCon with the creators when it came out. Fantastic. Incredible fun. Plays fast, plays easy. It's probably my favorite tabletop card game. And I really loved Heresy.
That's a strong statement for me to make.
I'm pretty sure that I have a full folder of all of the cards that were ever published for On the Edge and a whole pile of loose ones around here somewhere in storage. Absolutely prime material.
The first edition of the RPG was really quite good too.

@kyonshi @gmkeros.wordpress.com Well, you definitely have enough cards to put together at least two solid starting decks. Why not just do that and show up at your local game store or game show? Sit down and see if anybody just wants to play. It's shocking how effective that can be sometimes, especially if you brought a good chunk of the rest of the collection and you're like, "hey, let's go ahead and make some custom decks when I'm done with this. It'll be cool."

@gmkeros.wordpress.com I got the big collection recently, too. Thinking about trying to run a draft.

@AndreasDavour @gmkeros.wordpress.com your inner magpie starts to make itself known?
I certainly don't know why I bought it, but I wanted to have them ever since I saw them in a tcg magazine in the 90s
