Add Resolution Reasons for Incidents

We've rolled out a feature where users can now add summarised reasons prior to incident resolution. For anyone going over past incidents, resolution reason will give them a quick understanding of why the incident was deemed resolved.

Adding resolution reason for all incidents prior to their resolution can either be set up as mandatory or optional via the toggle in the Settings > Feature Settings page.

Manually Add Activity Timeline Logs for Incidents

There are instances where incident responders / collaborators need to add additional log items to the timeline of an incident. If you are on our higher plans - either Premium or Enterprise, you will have the ability to manually add, edit, and delete manual log entries into the activity timeline for incidents. These additional items will also appear optionally in the incident postmortems as well.

More file types are supported in attachments

Now we are supporting more file types while adding attachments. This will be supported across Incident description, notes, Runbooks, Statuspages and Postmortems.

Full list of file types supported:

  • Images (.png, .jpg, .jpeg)

  • Word Processors (.doc, .docx, .odt, pages)

  • Spreadsheets (.xls, .xlsx, numbers)

  • PDFs (.pdf)

  • Presentations (.ppt, .pptx. .odp)

Improved Incident List Filter Granularity

We have improved our Incident List Filter granularity. Now you can filter incidents during a specific time frame / range, not just the date range.

This will work across both Web app and mobile app.

Edit Status Page Component Uptime

Improved Postmortem Template values

We have improved our Postmortem feature template values to include more relevant details of the activity.

Going forward, it not only supports the event type, it will provide the actual event details in postmortems automatically.

To facilitate this, we have added two new fields, and renamed one field. The changes are:

  • title changed to timeline_event_title
  • Added field timeline_event_detail
  • Added field timeline_event_action_type

Workflow Improvements

We have added 3 new triggers to workflows:

  • Communication Channel is added
  • Priority is updated
  • Incident note is added

We have also added additional templating variables in "Make a HTTP call action" for "Incident note is added" trigger to address specific use cases.
