Editing Your Release on Audius

3 min readPublished March 16, 2026Updated April 13, 2026

Every release on Audius has an edit page where you can update its details, visibility, pricing, and more. Click Edit on any release to get started.

What's on the edit page

At the top of the page you'll find your track's artwork, track name, genre, mood, tags, and description. If you're editing a track, you can use Replace File to upload a new audio file or Download File to download the current one.

There are five sections below, each with more options within. Click any section to expand it.

Track Privacy

Track Privacy controls your release's visibility. Use this section to set your release to public or hidden.

Price & Audience

Price & Audience controls who can access your release. Choose from Free for Everyone, Premium, Special Access, or Coin Gated.

For more on paid access and earnings, see Costs and Fees on Audius and How to Add, Spend, and Withdraw Cash (USDC) & $AUDIO on Audius.

Advanced

Advanced contains metadata and rights settings for your release.

Release Date

Release Date sets the date displayed on your track and controls how tracks are sorted on your profile. It does not control when your track goes live. Use Track Privacy to manage that.

Tempo and Key

Set your track's BPM and Key.

Disable Comments

Toggle Disable Comments to prevent anyone from commenting on your track. Any existing comments are hidden while this is enabled. For more on comment behavior, see Comments on Audius: Connect, Engage, and Share.

License Type

License Type controls how others can use your music. Set your preferences for attribution, commercial use, and derivative works.

ISRC / ISWC

Enter your track's ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) or ISWC (International Standard Musical Work Code) if you have them. These are used for royalty tracking and rights management.

This Song is a Cover

Toggle This Song is a Cover if your track was written by another artist. When enabled, fields appear for the original title and original artist name, which are shown as attribution on your track page. Make sure you have the necessary rights or permission before publishing. For more on Audius policies, see What are the Audius Copyright Policies and Processes?.

Disallow Streaming via the API

By default, tracks are available through the Audius public API, which allows third-party apps to stream and surface your music. Enable Disallow Streaming via the API to restrict a track from appearing in those results. Note that this limits where your music can be discovered.

Stems & Downloads

Stems & Downloads lets you control whether fans can download your files and who can access them.

Download Availability sets who can download: Public, Followers, or Premium. Toggle Full Track Download to provide a full lossless copy of your track. You can also upload additional files such as stems or source files (FLAC, WAV, ALAC, or AIFF) for fans to download separately.

For supported audio formats, see Supported File Types.

Remix Settings

Remix Settings control how your release connects to remixes on Audius. Toggle Identify as Remix to link your remix to the original track for visibility and artist credit. Toggle Hide Remixes of This Track to stop other artists' remixes from appearing on your track page.

When you're done, click Save Changes.

For guidance on pricing your content and earning from sales, see Selling Music on Audius.
