I soft quitter it around…the 2025 inauguration. No regrets. I have to keep an account only because of my work.

Same here. I used FB before news feed, when it was still restricted to colleges.

I was afraid to quit, because was worried of losing some information, and contact with friends.

The crazy things is that once the account was gone I realized that it was addiction. I don’t feel like I lost anything. Also the friends that I cared about an able to communicate with them using alternatives, and the others I never really talked to, so that also was a false fear.

It is definitely an addiction. Every so often, I go into my profile and just delete stuff. I also cull the “friends” periodically. And no matter how much I have to use it for work I do not have any of their garage apps installed.

I stopped actively posting or engaging on fb around covid.

I would love to fully delete my account, but marketplace is the only thing people use to post things for sale where I live.

Same here. My wife uses it for reels though. Don’t understand why she doesn’t just use YouTube shorts or something instead. Same stuff is posted both places.
