The show has its moments and memes, but overall I didn’t particularly care for it. My girlfriend has rewatched it probably 10 times by now. I just don’t see what she sees in it.
Maybe try the original version (UK). I love both but the UK feels a lot better to me. Particularly the last episode. Also it feels a lot more authentic.
That’s fair. Not everyone enjoys the same stuff. Honestly, the showrunners’ works since then have been much better.
I watched most of it. It’s not funny, it’s depressing.
Watching a whole season of a show you don’t like is amazing. I’ll do a few episodes if I like the premise because pilots can be rough, but a whole season? Damn.
Usually I give a new show one or Maximum two episodes… If it does not click I quit.
For the office I am glad that i listened to my friend who showed me the office and he started right with season two. I was like, why? And she just told me… Trust me… You will skip otherwise a Good show…
tbf the first season of The Office is only 6 episodes so it’s not that much more than your few episodes approach
I stopped during the first season. It was just too cringe. Years later I tried again and got past it and got a few more enjoyable seasons in.
I am willing to give a piece of entertainment one episode, maybe two and at the most three to engage my attention. If it fails, I will drop it. Office managed to make me drop it in three.

Well, that’s me. I tried, couldn’t finish the first season, thought that was not for me.
Start with season 2, end with season 7.

Oh shut up already. The first season is incredibly good. I understand why people don’t like it. Everything is way more awkward, but no other show hits like that. I’m guessing you would complain about the UK office too. Let people figure out what they enjoy
