    Google literally holds all the cards and has what, only Europe to worry about in terms of regulatory backlash.

    Gosh I hope the non-Android fork open source OSs get some money from phone makers because they will definitely have a market when it becomes truly viable.

      At this point steamos/linux ported to phones and waydroid for a compatibility layer is our only hope

          Yeah that would be ideal but you know manufacturers they want a company attached to it just like how Linux distros are right there but it took steam deck for them to show interest.

      You can write the EU to urge them to act. They are monitoring the situation. That we have to say pretty please to a huge soulless corporation based in a hostile, fascist nation to not take our freedom away is so fucked up.
