Sorry, I misunderstood your question, and obviously the @ was not needed,. In my initial response the instance was mentioned in @…@… form, which worked as well. However, as a comment but not as a post, as you mentioned.@sjn probably the post has to be created from the instance, but you can response to it from Mastodon by answering to it. That’s what I had in mind, tested it a while ago over there: https://feddit.de/post/1240207
