This is perfect! I find it kind of hard to explain this concept to friends.

Binette@lemmy.mltoMental Health@lemmy.world•Children who grew up teaching themselves because nobody had time to teach them often become adults who are extraordinarily competent and quietly resentfulEnglish
6·2 months agoI’m not really resentful bacause of that. I just have fond memories of learning alone. It was lonely trying to relate with others what I was doing with my day, but it didn’t stop it from being fun.

4·2 months agoI had to use a liveUSB, as stated above. I completely reinstalled pop os. I had my home and my flatpak apps in a different partition anyways.

6·2 months agoI’ll try. I was just scared that this was part of the update and that restarting my pc would mess things up.
Edit: took a little while, but i fixed it!

3·2 months agoIt seems to be loading. My computer only takes a few seconds to turn on. The terminal shows up and displays texts about blocks for a fraction of a second. Then the loading screen i mentioned in the post shows up.

Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•Human bike lane protests cycling path removal in Montreal’s OutremontEnglish
2·2 months agoThat’s what seems strange as well. I remember seeing the mayor getting praised for the new bike lanes too. Kinda made me wonder if Ensemble Montréal was lying for a second, but if they were, it would’ve been easily disproven.

Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•Human bike lane protests cycling path removal in Montreal’s OutremontEnglish
10·2 months agoSo let me get this straight:
The center right party (Ensemble montréal) made the decision to remove the bike lanes following a proposal from the center left party (Projet montréal) in 2021…
I don’t think who they voted for even mattered in this case
Deepseek didn’t fall for it lol. I thought it would
