2·5 months agoThe real ID requirements on state-issued cards don’t change or improve the ability for the federal government to access… They already have all the access they need into state IDs and all your info plenty of other ways.
All state IDs, real ID or not, are shared with the NLETS Federal registry.

Passport is a Federal ID.

3·5 months agoI used disk2vhd to virtualize my laptop windows disk and put it on a USB stick and then got it running on Linux with VirtualBox. I’m gonna need it once a year for taxes.
I did run into some trouble getting secureboot working in virtualbox, but solved it after I figured out the kernel drivers were compressed.
