100%, I hate LLMs but once I hooked up my father in law with duck.ai, the times I get called for IT support has halved. It’s easier to describe your problem to a LLM than to find exactly the right keywords to search.

2·3 个月前Thanks for the suggestion, I’m trying protonmail now and the aliases are really nice, too bad you have to set them up in Proton pass though, that app is not as good as bitwarden. Only downside so far is that all emails end up in the same inbox, so I have to do some extra sorting and labelling to get things organised.
The discussion got derailed a bit in the privacy aspect. I think Proton mail has pretty good privacy(good enough for me). I don’t think they will get a court order to release my emails any time soon. It’s good to know they offer some protection against mass surveillance and don’t sell your data for marketing.

1·3 个月前That’s a good tip, I already used that for invoices and order updates on my work mail. But I could also do that for my personal mail.
In the Netherlands we don’t have this kind of thing. I don’t know at what age you have a science fair? At age 4-12 you don’t really have stuff you don’t really have homework, except if you’re lagging behind with your work. So all activities will be done at the school, sometimes they ask a parent to help with extracurricular activities. We don’t really have a science fair. Closest thing would be a “spreekbeurt” which would translate as oral presentation. You pick a topic you like and explain what it’s about. I think many parents help with the preparation for that. But you would have trouble answering the questions if your parents did everything.
At age 12-17 you get more beta courses, chemistry, physics, geography. You can pick a track that best suits your interests/aptitude. They focus on economics, social studies and art, nature and health or nature and technology. You get advanced courses that fit that track and more entry level courses for the rest. In your last year you have to write a paper with some field research on a topic that fits your track. Still not really like a science fair though.

4·4 个月前I have no idea, it’s an old email I used for a lot of services before I knew about email aliases like Mozilla relay.
Like I said, most of them are useful once, like a shipping notification or a sign in security code. But most of the time I just copy the code from the desktop notification and leave the email. I don’t know why so many services moved from a password based login to email security codes, it’s annoying that’s for sure.
I’ll try to set up some filters to delete them after a day.
I carry a No 12 for work most of the time, when I pull that one I get a few frowns. It’s great for cutting baguettes though, or splitting kindle…
Could just be my client but the image is so pixelated and the resistors are quite small. So it took me a while to see as well.

Only thing I would be scared of is ethidium bromide on your food, but that probably wouldn’t be measured on a kg scale.
For me a Pomodoro timer works well. 25 minute task, 10 minute break, repeat. But to be honest I did spend the day playing dwarf fortress till 16:00, then rushing the task I had alloted the entire day for in 90 minutes.

This is one of those dishes that never ceases to amaze me. Such a simple recipe, but very flavourful. The version with chicken is even better IMHO.

Dockstarter with jellyfin + sonarr + radarr + qbittorrent + swag is your friend. I actually found jellyfin easier to setup. Don’t have to worry to much that streams are getting transcoded. Setting swag up was some effort though.
My in-laws always use a half scoop per cup, no thank you. Cardboard flavoured water.
To be fair though I’m spoiled with single origin, roasted to order beans
My guess would be: reliving your first time high, newer games will not live up to the nostalgia.
True, when I plan well enough it’s glorious: shower the night before, CG shampoo bar + stay in conditioner and I can just run my fingers trough my hair to style it the day after
When I shower before an event it’s a very thin line between too frizzy or too greasy and flat.

I was a greenkeeper for a while as well, luckily we just started at 6.00 to finish at 11.00ish. Some people would show up early but because we were starting at hole 9 and 18 and going backwards it was no big deal.
