It’s actually the other way around. There are only 11 two-party consent states. All the rest, plus DC are single-party consent, but usually the single consenting party has to be one of the participants of the conversation.

All of the things that doge fucked up would be a great place to start. The entire social security database rifled through and copied/stolen by unvetted “hacker” kids with no security clearance. Tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands dead worldwide and millions of dollars of US grown food spoiled and farming subsidies erased due to the abrupt dissolution of USAID. Enormous, unparalleled loss of expertise and institutional knowledge due to mass layoff and quitting of government employees.
It stands next to the ice raids as the most destructive domestic policy to come out of the current administration and is probably the most unforgivable thing musk has ever done. The repercussions of those ignorant buffoons running slipshod through our institutions will be felt for decades if not generations.

Reminded me of this really old Rhys Darby bit.

Cool old Ronson table lighter

You’re absolutely right!
✅ Here’s why it matters:
You don’t remember Biden being president in 2020? Gee, if this graph failed to point out that big neolib blunder year it’s almost like it would tell a completely different story with 2021-2024 being four of the lowest years on the graph. Don’t you see how the DNC is just as bad?

Your first two photos are seals. Your last photo, and the one in the post are walruses.
Here’s a great, if excessively long, video about the differences.

Don’t forget when they were a roofing company, too.

Oh, don’t worry. He can just buy them from himself using taxpayer money via subsidies from his other company like he did last year. If you’re an American taxpayer, you’ve already bought one.
The shadows look fine to me. There’s a floor lamp visible at the right edge. The curtains are close to, and higher than that floor lamp, so the shadow goes up the wall and away from the lamp. The bookcase is further away and close to the same height as the lamp, so the softer shadow goes up only slightly. The “bottles” on top are close to the wall and therefore cast a soft shadow to the back wall from whatever unseen light source is lighting the subject from the front.
Totally agree about the identity of the objects on the shelves and the existence/placement of the mirror, though. It probably is AI, but I’m actually more impressed by the consistency of the shadows.
Whoops! That’s the Lemmy logo and therefore an ad for Lemmy. I can’t believe you’d abandon your strict no ads stance like that. Get that advertising bullshit off my screen.
Don’t believe it’s an ad for Lemmy? Go post that on Reddit and see what happens.

Either “biggest red state in America” is a weird way to refer to largest by population, or he’s forgetting about Alaska again.

The mod’s last comment from a month ago is discussing an automod bot. It’s possible that they’re completely AWOL and the deleted comments you’re seeing are from the bot. Being the sole mod of a community and abandoning it to a bot instead of looking for new human mods is still shit list worthy, though.

Wow! You’ve played GTA6?!

Is a Honda Del Sol close enough? I know it’s a one-piece roof instead of a two piece, but it’s still a cheaper car with a removable hardtop.
Even referring to them as “T9-letters” is a massive neologism. Those letters have been on telephones going all the way back to the very first rotary phones when you were first allowed to dial a number yourself without talking to an operator. Before, you’d tell the operator you wanted “Wabash 3 - 1234” and they’d connect you to number 1234 on the Wabash 3 exchange. To dial that same number when the dial telephone came around, you would dial WA3-1234, or 923-1234.
Here’s a great film from 1940 introducing people to the idea of dialing on a telephone and explaining how to use the letters: Internet Archive Link

The seams are ripped and decaying and there’s moss or lichen growing on it. I wouldn’t doubt for a moment that that ball has been in the woods for 15 or 20 years. It’s not just going to flatten like a balloon when it’s not at full pressure anymore.

There’s also the deal where a significant amount of the world’s nitrogen fertilizer passes through the Strait of Hormuz, so even if corn ethanol is cheaper now, it may not be for long.
Even in his first term, he was tougher on guns than most Democrats. He enacted the bump stock ban and supported red flag laws, but republicans like to pretend that never happened.
