I talk to normal people all the time. I don’t often get to bring up death to the concept of whiteness. That’s why I comment on hexbear

I don’t have white guilt I hate the concept of whiteness. I don’t like being perceived as white and all the privilege that comes with it but I don’t feel guilty about it. I didn’t choose to be “white”.

I think it’s important. I have come to a conclusion that is internally consistent to me and not self loathing. Like the patriarchy, I can hate the power structure even if it benefits me without hating who I am.

There are many things you can do. Recognize your risk tolerance and act accordingly.

Volunteer for the Trevor project. Find your local food not bombs. Those are low risk options that cost nothing but time. There are obviously higher risk options. I think the thing you can do is get involved with your community. That’s just my opinion. My view of American politics is fairly grim and my view implies that making friends and helping others is a necessary action to survive the coming shit show. Voting isn’t going to help any of that.

The justice system, education, prisons, healthcare, border etc are all cruel implementations of capitalism that target the poor and minorities. Voting for Biden won’t help that. Biden being in office has made the US more dangerous for my trans friends.

Limp bizkit and Nickelback during the early 2000s might have been a first step towards leftist politics for me. They just played those two fucking groups and Nirvana and sublime every hour every day. And obviously the music was trash.

But then I learned about clear channel and starting listening to an indie radio station. Made me start hating how capitalism ruined fucking music.
