2·21 days agoThey’ve moved to cosmic DE, which isn’t quite ready for primetime in my opinion. Best distros for gaming in my opinion would be cachy, fedora, bazzite. I use Arch, which I feel is the best choice, but not for everyone.

8·23 days agoIt’s worth the switch. Bazzite Is a solid choice. I would stay away from PopOS for now. CachyOS is a great high performance choice, especially if you have Linux experience.
This is also my setup. I’ve tried nix a few times on desktop and servers, but didn’t stick. Keep going back to arch and debian

I had 2 of these for years ran back to Synology surveillance station and they were great. I’ve expanded to 6 cameras now and bought the Reolink NVR. It works great, with good picture quality. Pretty inexpensive setup overall. No downtime. Very happy with Reolink.
