Yes! Exactly. And this is quite different from the support for Ukraine which we see in many American leftists
Ubuntu for many years, then back to Windows, then Arch for a year and now NixOS for about 1.5 years

linux4noobs•What would you say is the most reliable, "it just works" distro currently?
1·1 个月前Well, Windows 7 and 10 were pretty good, but Windows 11…
My girlfriend bought a brand new laptop. Everything except Nvidia drivers worked out of the box. Nvidia also installed just fine. But on Windows 11 keyboard lights just refused to work and she never figured out how to solve that… Also vpns just randomly break on Windows while working perfectly fine with Fedora.
I myself have had a different experience with Linux. I’ve always loved tinkering around so I used to constantly break stuff. That’s why I was quite shocked to find out Linux worked out so well for my non tech-savvy gf. But apparently for normal everyday use Linux has become a solid, or even a better alternative to Windows.
Why not man pages though? That’s a very fast way of finding answers.

Thanks! Gonna give it a try. What tablets do you have and what distros are using on them?

26·2 个月前Did they actually decide against mass scanning for good or are they just going to rebrand it again? I’m confused
To get into such a position a nation must lose part of its humanity to become a emotionless machine.
Very well said! This is the exact impression I get from countries that are at the top of the economical hierarchy
Have you had any experience with Mobian? Would you recommend it?

1·2 个月前I’m trying to find an alternative to VPN to be used on a locked up Windows device I can’t install any apps on. And it should be easy enough to be usable by non-tech-savvy people. @[email protected] already provided a good solution

1·2 个月前Thanks! SOCKS5 proxy is a good option, I don’t know why I didn’t think of it from the very beginning…
My goal is to bypass local censorship on university computers that don’t allow running any executables except those provided by the administrator. And I’m trying to help professors who aren’t particularly tech-savvy, so a webproxy is actually still a better option.
A browser inside a docker is a very viable solution, however my VPS is super small, so I don’t have resources for that unfortunately.

Wow, using only IP is super dope! Going to open an issue on the github repo, thanks
