Have you considered porting your landline to a VoIP provider?

…and the Sprint Corporation
Seriously, they couldn’t make an American Telco profitable.
Yes, but some people, myself included, find forcibly requiring individuals to introduce themselves in succession to be disingenuous.

In my city there are a few auction houses that occasionally work with school/government IT to auction off old hardware. For instance, there’s often whole pallets of old/broken monitors in lots that go for a few dollars.

What do you intend to do with the scrapped parts?

Agreed, but the absence of disclosed data is not itself data. In that, treating non-disclosure as proof of wrongdoing is poor journalism.

Without disclosing telemetry, this article provides little definitive evidence of who was at fault. smh

Ready for a rabbit hole?
General video on using a microwave to its fullest.
You CAN put most metal plates and bowels in the microwave. Link 1 & Link 2
Microwaves do NOT interact with ice; therefore, they cannot melt ice.
You should NOT use the popcorn button.
You CAN temper chocolate in the microwave.

Well, when the first strategy didn’t work…

I’m in no way an authority on the subject, but RejectConvenience does a great job of examining this topic succinctly in this video.

“At the end of the day, does it really matter much if the start of the next ice age is 50, 100, or 200 thousand years into the future?” Ridgwell said in a press statement. “We need to focus now on limiting ongoing warming. That the Earth will naturally cool back down is not going to happen fast enough to help us out.”
The work and context may be interesting, but this is the only paragraph you need to recognize from this article.
Have you tried ReVanced? I love having SponsorBlock, DeArrow thumbnails, and the ability to remove YT Shorts entirely from the app. The YouTube patches are amazing!

Watching TNG again and just saw this episode!

Depends on what direction you would like to take your skills in, so knowing your interest would be helpful, (frontend, backend, networking, etc.)
My personal projects are generally motivated by lazyness, but in the beginning they would take up more time than doing the process manually; however, this tradeoff were justified by the learning experience, of course.
I would focus on automating repetitive or cloud dependent tasks such as file conversion, organization, or augmentation. This will give you an opportunity to learn more about different libraries, Python syntax, and working with paths agnostically.
Alternatively, you could dive into networking, but this will require knowledge/learning about the OSI model, network architecture, and packet captures.
