  • I actually have relevant experience here! I broke my arm in middle school while playing soccer and ended up getting a couple plates and screws in my arm as a result. I had to go back to the doctor a bunch of times to see if I needed to get them removed since there was a chance that it could have impeded any further growth as I was still an adolescent. In the end though, I didn’t need them to be taken out and I have lived with them in my arm ever since. I can feel them under my skin along the outside of my forearm if I feel it just right.

…anyway, I am glad they are looking forward and thinking about what comes after high school. Chokki-chan is graduating real soon, right? So, I think it behooves them to try to make things official soon.

  • I am a big fan of this manga and so far I am of two minds on this adaptation. First is that the humor is still there and still funny. In particular this episode gave us one of my favorite characters (Manda) and one of my favorite recurring gags (Dragon Kirio). However, the pacing feels really slow. I feel like the comedy would hit more if the episode was just sped up like 15% or something.

For future reference, if you put your intended post title first and then @-mention the community, then it will render much nicer on the threadiverse side. As it is now, the post came through to the community, but has a blank title because there was no text prior to the @-mention of the community.

Just one of the weird quirks of how the different fediverse softwares interact.

  • I haven’t read the LN, but the manga is a ton of fun and is a community favorite over on [email protected]. The premise is silly, sure, but the humor is very good. Part of that might be because it kind of lends itself to visual gags, so that they translate better in manga form. Basically, Rona is granted the power of Google, and is under the conception that the internet is written by the Gods…all of the internet. That means she reads everything she finds 100% straight; forum trolls, advertisements, everything. The other side of this is that when she looks up information about the world that she is in (a video game world), she often finds discussion forums talking about game bugs or cheese strategies that play out in very silly ways from the perspective of the people around her.
