The Shire Reckoning Project

The Lord of the Rings Lunar Read-along Blog

Welcome to the Lord of the Rings Lunar Read-along Blog

Presented by the creator and maintainer of the Shire Reckoning Project and The Lord of the Rings Lunar Read-along project. What is the The Lord of the Rings Lunar Read-along project? LotR Lunar Readalong Project Page Updated with Digital Tolkien Project Citation Links

Today I updated the LotR Lunar Readalong Project Scheme with Digital Tolkien Project Citation links! In Celebration of Durin’s Day: My Interview with the Tolkien Society of Mexico

It was an enjoyable interview for me, where they let me talk about as much as I wanted about anything related to their questions, and I am grateful for their interest in my project and kind words of support. Happy Durin’s Day! 🍻🌙🌅

Tolkien’s notes in Beowulf: A Translation and Commentary! This appears to agree nicely with the corresponding month in the calendars of Gondor named Súlimë or Gwaeron, which has been translated as ‘Windy-month’. Today…
