Our Story
SowFin was built out of a frustration that anyone who’s sat inside a serious investment process will recognize: the analysis that drives million-dollar decisions is still largely manual, inconsistent, and slower than the deals themselves.
Our founder spent 25 years at the intersection of technology and investment leading strategic deals at Intel, evaluating emerging opportunities across the semiconductor and AI landscape before concluding that the tools investment professionals rely on haven’t kept pace with the complexity of the decisions they’re being asked to make.
VentureScope and DealEngine are our answer to that gap. Not generic AI applied to finance, but purpose-built platforms designed around how VCs and M&A teams actually work — the frameworks they use, the risks they prioritize, and the speed at which deals move. We built the analytical infrastructure we always wished existed. Now we’re making it available to the teams who need it most

Ishtiaque Mohammad is the Founder and CEO of SowFin, the vertical AI platform transforming due diligence for venture capital and M&A teams. He brings 25+ years of strategic investment experience, having directed over $2 billion in technology investments at Intel and Broadcom. With deep expertise spanning semiconductors, AI infrastructure, and corporate finance, Ishtiaque combines technical and financial acumen—holding degrees in Electrical Engineering and an MBA in Finance from Cornell University—to build AI solutions that compress weeks of deal analysis into hours.

Suhel Ahmed is the Co-founder and CTO of SowFin, bringing over 25 years of software development experience from the heart of the Bay Area. With more than 6 years in executive leadership roles as VP and CTO, he has played a pivotal role in driving innovation and scaling technology teams. His track record includes contributions to two IPOs and two successful exits, showcasing his deep understanding of high-growth tech environments. Suhel holds an M.S. in Computer Science from Arizona State University, and his leadership at SOWFIN reflects a unique blend of deep technical expertise and strategic vision.
