Huh, you don’t see a new browser everyday, let alone one that opts for webkit over chromium. I suppose I’m pretty late to this discovery from Kagi. The chrome extension support is pretty neat. It’s a great idea and one that Apple should deeply consider. If Apple allowed cross-platform browser extensions, it would transform the web.
Orion — a web browser designed from the ground-up. Native WebKit speed, full extension compatibility, and absolute privacy is finally together in one browser that respects you.
It’s the little things! I tuned in to the livestream of the mission and thought it was culturally important to share. In the stream, it’s hard to tell but I believe Glover was taking a photo of Hansen posing for a photo. I think they were preparing for press interviews.
It’s been 54 years since we last visited the Moon. It’s an exciting day for science, for NASA and for mankind. The Artemis II launch gives me a lot hope (and anxiety). The rocket will be piloted by 3 americans and 1 canadian. Truly a historic day.
This mission is considered a test flight which consists of two phases:
I know the coffee drinkers have opinions about Starbucks 😅 but I recently picked up these beans. It’s real bright and bouncy. Acidity is more subdued than I was expecting. It’s become one of my faves recently and wanted to share!
“During his rookie season with the Knicks, he picked up the nickname “Clyde” because he wore a fedora similar to that of Warren Beatty, who played Clyde Barrow in the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde.”
Frazier’s nickname derived from the crime duo ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ who were famous for numerous bank robberies. Because of his sneaky game and ability to make fast steals, it only made sense that Frazier became known as Clyde.
As Israeli air strikes hit Tehran this morning, Iranians received mysterious push notifications saying that “help is on the way,” promising amnesty if they surrender.
If you know Lego, you know the pains of the Lego sorting and storage.
I’ll be honest, I’ve never pondered the storage solution landscape for Lego really until now. Clearly there’s storage-agnostic solutions most folks will reach for. Container Store, IKEA, generic plastic bins. Those are fine choices.
The holy grail solution for storing Lego must meet a few bits of criteria. Scalable and easy-to-clean are probably the two biggest factors. But the utility of sorting is rarely considered.
Enter the Brickle. A storage solution and play table. The simple design consists of a system of drawers. Each drawer consists of gradually smaller holes, allowing for each drawer Lego to drop from drawer to drawer for passive organization by size. From their website description:
Capable of comfortably holding up to 15 kilograms of LEGO® pieces, and with five lanes there’s plenty of options when it comes to sorting your collection. As for the infamous special pieces drawer this has a total of 41 compartment slots of differing sizes meaning your child will have somewhere for every important part of their collection.
Me and mom. I couldn’t have been older than a year or so.
It’s my mother’s birthday today.
The strongest woman I know. Conor Oberst has defined two decades of my life. It’s only fitting that I share this 2014 track that cuts deep emotionally. Evocative and resonant, I can’t help but tear up when this comes on my shuffle.
A deal valued at over $82 billion. If Netflix fails to match Paramount’s bid, the world is worse off for everyone. This Ellison takeover is hostile, will result in massive layoffs, and assuming the deal will be approved by regulators — it would mean all of Warner Bros’ HBO Max streaming customers become Paramount subscribers. Other outfits include CNN, the Food Network and not to mention an impressive array of sports offerings.
We believe we would have been strong stewards of Warner Bros.’ iconic brands, and that our deal would have strengthened the entertainment industry and preserved and created more production jobs in the U.S. But this transaction was always a ‘nice to have’ at the right price, not a ‘must have’ at any price.
I’m not a fan of Netflix, nor am I defender of its corporate culture. But I do think there is sincerity here. I think Netflix’s DNA is truly honest. While Paramount is plunderous.
It’s been reported that Tony Gilroy was embargoed from speaking freely about Andor. Disney reportedly ask Gilroy to refrain from using the words fascism and genocide. Well, that embargoed time period has expired.
The prescience of Andor became immediately clear when the occupation of Minnesota ramped up. Federal agents executed two American citizens. Hundreds, perhaps thousands of people were displaced. Families lay destroyed and many are in ruin because of these actions. Countless human rights violations. The list is endless.
Hollywood Reporter asked Tony Gilroy about Minnesota. He hit the nail on the head here:
“You get out your Fascism for Dummies book for the 15 things you do, and we tried to include as many of them as we could in the most artful way possible,” GIlroy tells The Hollywood Reporter. “How were we supposed to know that this clown car in Washington was going to basically use the same book that we used? So I don’t think it’s prescience so much as the sad familiarity of fascism.”
A disgusting, predictable outcome. A direct result of the abdication of environmental responsibility. All in servitude of extracting maximum capital in this new world of grifters, rampant corruption. The abolition of American accountability continues.
Families will suffer. Children will die. Deformities and mental illness will skyrocket. Generations of pain will be endured from this.
