Terms of Service for DBConvert Streams

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using DBConvert Streams ("Service"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Use License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and applicable payment of fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service.

Service Description

DBConvert Streams is a unified database IDE and streaming engine available as a desktop application (Windows, macOS, Linux), web UI, and REST API. The Service provides the following key characteristics:

  • IDE: A free data explorer, SQL console, ER diagrams, and file explorer requiring no account
  • Streams: Paid data migration (Convert) and continuous replication (CDC) capabilities supporting MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, local files, and S3-compatible object storage
  • Data Processing: We facilitate data transfer and replication between databases, files, and object storage without storing any of your database content
  • Security: Your database credentials are stored exclusively on your own infrastructure
  • Processing Only: We act purely as a processor, enabling data movement without persistent storage of your data

User Obligations

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws
  • Not attempt to circumvent any security measures
  • Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes when possible.

Subscription Terms

The IDE is always free and requires no account. Streams functionality is available through evaluation and a single paid plan:

  • Evaluation: Convert up to 500 MB lifetime and CDC up to 48 hours active runtime. Evaluation is a one-time opportunity, not a renewable free plan.
  • Streams ($49/month or $399/year): Full access with unlimited usage, all connectors (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, files, S3), all stream modes, and API access

Subscriptions are available on both monthly and annual billing cycles. Annual subscriptions are offered at a discounted rate.

API Usage Terms

Your use of our API is subject to the following terms:

  • API keys are unique to each account and must be kept secure
  • All API usage is logged and monitored for security purposes
  • API access during evaluation is subject to evaluation limits
  • We reserve the right to revoke API access for any violation of these terms

Payment Terms

You agree to pay all fees associated with your use of the Service. All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise specified in our refund policy.

Communications

Transactional or Service-Related Emails: By creating an account, you acknowledge and agree that we may send you transactional or service-related communications, such as account notifications, service updates, security alerts, evaluation completion notices, and other essential information. These messages are considered part of the Service and you cannot opt out of receiving them if you wish to continue using the Service.

Marketing or Promotional Emails: With your consent (where required by law), we may send you marketing or promotional emails about product updates, special offers, or other information that may be of interest. You can opt out of these emails at any time by following the unsubscribe link provided in each email or by contacting us directly.

Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all intellectual property rights, are and will remain the exclusive property of Slotix s.r.o. and its licensors.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.
