TalkOps MCP Servers

If AI agents are the brains of TalkOps, the Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers are the hands.

MCP is the open standard we use to connect our conversational agents directly to your actual infrastructure. Rather than writing custom, fragile API wrappers for every single DevOps tool on the market, we build standardized MCP servers.

Why MCP?

Letting an AI agent freely execute bash commands on a production server is extremely dangerous. MCP solves this by providing safe, discoverable, and task-scoped tools.

When the TalkOps Kubernetes agent needs to deploy an application, it doesn't run kubectl directly. It connects to the Helm MCP Server.

The Helm MCP Server exposes a specific, limited set of tools (like "deploy chart" or "list releases"). The agent reads these tool definitions, decides which one it needs, and requests permission. The MCP server then executes the action securely, ensuring the agent can't accidentally wipe a namespace it wasn't authorized to touch.

Our Growing Ecosystem

We are constantly expanding the TalkOps MCP ecosystem so your agents can manage your entire stack:

🎡 Kubernetes & Helm

The Helm MCP Server allows our agents to securely install, upgrade, and rollback charts directly on your live clusters without giving the AI raw access to your kubeconfig.

☁️ Infrastructure as Code

The Terraform MCP Server lets agents generate plans, validate drift, and apply state changes across AWS, Azure, and GCP gracefully.

🚀 GitOps & Delivery

The ArgoCD MCP Server gives the agents the ability to create projects, sync applications, and monitor delivery health right from your chat prompt.

🔀 Edge Traffic & Routing

The Traefik MCP Server gives agents direct control over Kubernetes edge traffic — weighted canary routing, middleware generation (rate limits, circuit breakers), traffic mirroring for shadow launches, TCP routing, and automated NGINX-to-Traefik migrations with AI-powered handling of breaking legacy configs.

🔄 Progressive Delivery

The Argo Rollout MCP Server handles the full progressive delivery lifecycle — converting Deployments to Rollouts, orchestrating canary and blue-green deployments, promoting or aborting rollouts, and integrating Prometheus analysis with built-in playbooks.

📊 Observability (Coming Soon)

We are currently building MCP servers for Prometheus and Datadog to allow our SRE and Monitoring agents to pull live metrics and alert configurations when diagnosing incidents.

Build Your Own

The best part of MCP is that it's an open standard. If you have internal, proprietary CLI tools or bespoke deployment scripts, you don't have to wait for TalkOps to support them.

You can write your own custom MCP server in a few hours, point TalkOps at it, and the agents will immediately understand how to use your internal tools securely.
