2024-07-08: TCCON turns 20!

TCCON celebrated its 20th anniversary in May 2024. Even if you weren't able to join us in Boulder to celebrate as part of the annual meeting, you can still order polo shirts or T-shirts from Printful:

2022-04-27: GGG2020 data released

We are pleased to announce the initial release of GGG2020 data! This can be downloaded from https://tccondata.org/. Please see GGG2020DataChanges for important information on changes in file format and data availability compared to GGG2014. A few sites' data are still pending final quality control, but we expect them to be available soon.

2021-01-04: Old wiki moved behind firewall

We have now moved the old wiki behind the Caltech firewall, meaning https://archive-tccon-wiki.caltech.edu/ will no longer be accessible without being connected to the Caltech network (by being physically on campus or connected through the VPN). If you think something is missing from this wiki, you will need to contact Josh Laughner or Coleen Roehl to get it copied over from the old wiki. Before contacting them, please search this wiki thoroughly to make sure that the missing page really is missing and not just hard to find.
  • Use the search box (upper right) to search for any keywords you can think of to find that topic
  • Scan through the WebTopicList, which is the complete list of topics accessible to you in the wiki, checking for any topics that might be the missing page.
If you report a missing page to Josh or Coleen, please include as much detail about which page you were expecting to find and where you looked on this wiki. The former will help us find the page on the old wiki; the latter will help us make sure the topic is linked in useful places on this wiki.

2020-10-19: The Great Wiki Migration

Welcome to the new TCCON wiki! This has been a much longer journey than we expected when we began, but we're finally here. Huge thank you to Isabel de la Torre Roehl and Elayna Osterman for manually copying all the pages from the old wiki. We know that most of you would have preferred to retain the old wiki; unfortunately, MindTouch no longer provides updates for the open source version of their wiki software, so we had to migrate.

Please read this announcement in full to make sure you know what you need to do.

First, some things to be aware of:
  1. The WikiHowTo topic is an introduction to how to do a lot of things on this wiki.
  2. We did some reorganization (especially of software) and some topics (a.k.a. pages) had to be renamed to work with the new wiki. Additionally how the new wiki builds URLs is different. So, any old bookmarks you have may not work.
  3. If you can't find a page, try the search box in the upper right. (It's much improved.) If that doesn't help, you can view the full list of topics available to your user in WebTopicList (make sure you're logged in or you will only see public pages). If you still can't find it, contact Josh Laughner.
  4. Updating your site status is now done through a separate website (link), rather than a form within the wiki.
    1. The site status page requires its own login. Your user name and password are NOT synced between that page and the wiki.
    2. Each site page will have a direct link to the page to update that site's status. If you are not logged in on the site status side, it will redirect you to the main page to log in.
We know you're all busy, but it is critical that you make some time in the coming weeks to verify the parts of the wiki relevant to you. Specifically, we're asking each of you to:
  1. Make sure that you can find all the pages that are important for your work.
  2. Make sure that any file on these pages are not links pointing to the old wiki.
  3. Make sure that any pages which contain sensitive information (e.g. passwords) have the proper permissions. You should only be able to view these pages when logged in. You can test this my opening a private browser window and trying to visit these pages. To verify that permissions correctly limit which users can view a page (if applicable), see the section in WikiHowTo on setting permissions.
  4. If you have made any edits to the old wiki since 1 June 2020, make sure that those changes got copied over. Elayna and Isabel did their final review of the old wiki for changes over the summer, so more recent changes are less likely to have been transferred.
  5. If you updated your site status through the old wiki after 11:58 PDT (18:58 UTC) on 19 Oct 2020, please resubmit that status update through your site page here. The site pages are all listed under SitesPages. You can check your site status at https://parkfalls.gps.caltech.edu/car/opstat/.
The old wiki will continue to be accessible at https://archive-tccon-wiki.caltech.edu/ until 20 Dec 2020. After that it will be moved behind the Caltech firewall and archived. We can still recover missing information from it after that, but it will require one of us with Caltech network access to have time to do so, so please don't put off checking for your critical pages.
