MP SET 2026 Notification

After the conduct of the Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test, candidates will be issued an E-Certificate based on which they can apply for Asst. Professor posts in the Higher Education Department of Madhya Pradesh. 

• As per the released notification, the Application forms for the MP SET 2025 were released on October 25, 2025.
• The last date for MP SET 2025 has been extended to November 27, 2025.
• The required eligibility for the MP SET exam is Post Graduation with 55% for UR and 50% reserved category candidates.
• Candidates should secure the minimum qualifying marks of at least 40% marks in both papers to be considered Pass.
• The MP SET will consist of two papers - General Teaching & Research Aptitude and a Paper on the concerned subject, which the candidate has opted for out of the total 20 subjects.

MP SET Exam Date 2026 Out

The Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test (MP SET) 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on 1st March 2026 (Sunday) as per the official announcement. The examination will be held in a single shift from 12:00 noon to 03:00 PM, and candidates are advised to reach the exam centre well in advance to complete the verification process smoothly.

MP SET Application Correction Process 2026

Once all the application forms are filled successfully, the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission will activate the official window to make corrections in the MP SET Application forms from 27th November to 29th November 2025. To make any corrections in the filled application forms, candidates are required to pay a correction fee. 

MP SET Selection Process 2026

The selection process for the post of MP SET Assistant Professor and Lecturer is based on the applicant’s performance and score in the written test. 40% marks are the qualifying marks for the selection of the applicants belonging to the general category, and 35 % for the applicants belonging to the reserved category. 

MP SET Eligibility 2026

MP SET Educational Qualification 2026:

• Ph.D. holders who completed their Master's degree by September 19, 1991, receive a 5% relaxation (55% to 50%).

MP SET Exam Pattern 2026

It is essential to have a thorough comprehension of the exam pattern to excel on the day of the test. There are two papers in the MP SET exam 2026 that are compulsory for the applicants to appear for. Applicants are required to go through the exam pattern, which is given below in the table: 

• The exam will be conducted in Offline mode i.e OMR based.
• Paper 2 of the examination will be based on the MCQ format.
• The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
• Marking: Each question carries 2 marks.
• Negative Marking: There will be No Negative Marks.
• If a question is deleted by the expert committee, all candidates will be awarded 2 marks for that question.
• Medium: The paper will be in both Hindi and English (except for language subjects). In case of translation discrepancies, the Hindi version will be given preference.
