About

At Unisa Groups, we believe in the power of community and collaboration. Our platform was created by students, for students, with one clear mission: to be the change in how Unisa learners connect, share, and succeed together. Unlike other communities, we offer bigger groups, persistent chat history, and no need to reshare documents—making your study experience smoother and more efficient.

Our History: From Humble Beginnings to a Thriving Community

Our journey began on 13 December 2016, when the first version of Unisa Groups launched under the .tk domain. Driven by the need for a better way to collaborate, we grew rapidly, and by 17 February 2020, we transitioned to our current home at unisa-groups.co.za. Since then, we’ve become a trusted hub for Unisa students, providing a space where knowledge, resources, and support are always just a click away.

Why Choose Unisa Groups Community?

  • Bigger Groups: Connect with more peers in one place, fostering broader discussions and networking.
  • Chat History: Never lose track of important conversations—your chat history stays intact.
  • No Document Resharing: Unlike platforms like WhatsApp, files and resources remain accessible, saving you time and effort.

A Community by Students, for Students

Unisa Groups is not affiliated with the University of South Africa (Unisa). We are an independent, student-run initiative dedicated to empowering learners with the tools and support they need to thrive. Our platform is built on the values of collaboration, accessibility, and continuous improvement, ensuring every student has the opportunity to excel.
