01.Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using WriteO ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Service.

• You must be at least 13 years of age to use WriteO.
• If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
• These terms apply to all users, including visitors, free-plan users, and paid subscribers.

02.Account Registration

To use WriteO, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential.
• Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

WriteO reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

03.Free & Paid Plans

WriteO offers multiple subscription tiers to suit different writing needs.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' advance notice to existing subscribers. Price changes will not affect active billing cycles. 04.Content Ownership & License

You own everything you create on WriteO. Your novels, characters, chapters, notes, and all creative content remain your intellectual property.

• WriteO does not claim ownership or rights over your creative work.
• By using the Service, you grant WriteO a limited, revocable license to store, display, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of operating the platform.
• You may export, publish, or delete your content at any time.
• This license terminates immediately when you delete your content or close your account.

05.Acceptable Use

You agree not to use WriteO for:

• Any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international law.
• Uploading or distributing malware, viruses, or other harmful software.
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform.
• Automated scraping, data mining, or unauthorized access to WriteO systems.
• Harassing, threatening, or impersonating other users.
• Circumventing plan limits through multiple accounts or automated means.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without prior notice.

06.AI Features

WriteO is developing AI-powered writing tools (expected Q3 2026). When these features launch:

• AI-generated suggestions are assistive only — you retain full creative control and ownership.
• Your manuscripts will never be used to train AI models. Your creative work is private and protected.
• AI features may have separate usage limits depending on your subscription tier.
• The Author Era subscribers receive priority access and free AI credits upon launch.

07.Intellectual Property

The WriteO platform, including its name, logo, design, code, and all associated branding, is the intellectual property of WriteO and is protected by copyright and trademark laws.

• You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from WriteO's platform code or branding.
• The WriteO name and logo may not be used without prior written permission.
• User-generated content (your novels) remains your property as described in Section 04.

08.Refund Policy

We want you to feel confident about your purchase. Here's our straightforward refund policy:

Detailed refund terms:

• First-Time Subscribers: If you are subscribing to a paid plan for the first time, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial purchase — no questions asked.
• After 7 Days: No refunds are issued after the 7-day window. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your paid period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a monthly billing cycle.
• Annual Plans: If you cancel an annual subscription, you'll receive prorated account credit for the remaining months, applicable to future subscriptions.
• Downgrades: When downgrading from a paid plan to Free, your premium features remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account transitions to Free-tier limits.
• Free Plan: The Daydreamer plan is free — there is nothing to refund.

To request a refund, email [email protected] with your account email and reason for the request. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days.

09.Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement:

• By You: Delete your account at any time from your account settings. We will permanently delete all your data within 30 days.
• By WriteO: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
• We recommend exporting your content before deleting your account, as deletion is permanent and irreversible.

10.Disclaimers & Limitations

• WriteO is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free access to the Service.
• WriteO is not liable for any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from the use of the Service.
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid WriteO in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• We are not responsible for the content of third-party services or websites linked from our platform.

11.Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we make material changes:

• We will provide at least 30 days' notice via email or a prominent notice on the platform.
• Your continued use of WriteO after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
• If you disagree with the changes, you may close your account and export your content before the changes take effect.
