In this report, we address two questions relating to clinical admission thresholds within emergency departments. To set the scene, we examine whether admission thresholds have changed in recent years. In the second part of the report, we examine the feasibility of routinely tracking these thresholds within individual emergency departments, so that local health systems can stay informed about this important factor.
