IIT Bombay released the UCEED 2026 question paper and final answer key for Part A today, on 29 January 2026, candidates can now evaluate their performance and estimate their scores. UCEED 2026 registration started on October 1, 2025. The exam assesses creative and design aptitude for admission to B.Des programmes at IITs and other top institutes. Candidates who have passed or are appearing in Class 12 from any stream are eligible. Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) is conducted by IIT Bombay under the guidance of the UCEED-CEED Implementation Committee every year for admitting candidates to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) program at participating colleges. Merely appearing for the UCEED exam or securing a spot in the UCEED Rank list does not guarantee admission to BDes programs. Candidates who qualify for the UCEED Exam need to separately apply for admission as per the procedure prescribed by IIT Bombay. Admission to BDes courses is done based on merit in each category. The merit list is prepared based on the scores obtained by candidates in the written entrance exam. Aspirants can go through UCEED statistics and can refer to the previous year's question papers to ace the exam with a good score.

The IIT Bombay has released the syllabus of UCEED 2026. It contains the topics that candidates had to follow to prepare for the exam. So it would help if the candidates go through the syllabus of their desired course to get an insight into the UCEED exam pattern.
The UCEED Question Paper is divided into two parts - A and B. The syllabus for UCEED 2026 comprises topics to study for each part of the undergraduate level design UCEED 2026 entrance exam. UCEED 2026 Syllabus comprises topics related to drawing products, scenes, and objects in proportion with good line quality, perspective, composition, proportion as well as shading.

Part B of the UCEED Exam comprises a drawing question that aspirants need to attempt on an answer sheet provided to them in their exam hall. This drawing question evaluates candidates based on their understanding of proportion, perspective, shading, and composition. Aspirants appearing for UCEED 2026 need to have a prep plan in place when preparing for this design entrance exam.

Candidates must log in with their registration credentials to download their UCEED Admit Card 2026. To download the admit card, candidates have to enter information such as their registration number/full name, date of birth, and course.
The UCEED Admit Card included information such as the exam date, exam group, test center address, exam day guidelines, and candidates' personal information. On the day of the computer-based exam, candidates must bring with them a valid photo id proof along with the admit card.
Step 1: Visit the official UCEED website, uceed.iitb.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the “Download Admit Card” link.
Step 3: A login window will appear on your screen.
Step 4: Enter your registered Email ID and Password.
Step 5: After successful login, your admit card will be displayed in PDF format.
Step 6: Click on Download and take a printout for future reference.
The candidates will be allowed to select the exam centers of their choice during the application process. The selection of the exam center cannot be changed after the generation of hall tickets. Hence, the candidates should select the exam center carefully. The UCEED exam will be conducted across 24 cities in the country. Candidates have to select three UCEED exam cities in order of preference at the time of filling out the application form. The detailed specification of exam centers is given below.

Important Documents required at the UCEED Exam Centre are:
The UCEED 2026 Answer Key is released online at the official website after the exam. Candidates can use it along with the question paper to calculate their expected scores. A draft answer key is first published, and candidates can raise objections through the portal within the given deadline. Final answer keys are released after reviewing the objections, and these form the basis for result preparation.
The UCEED Result is released online on the official website. Candidates can check their results by logging in with their credentials and download the scorecard within the given timeline. Based on the result, shortlisted candidates are invited to participate in the counselling and seat allotment process. The UCEED score remains valid for one academic year.
The results of UCEED 2026 have been released for all candidates who have appeared in the national-level design entrance exam. The steps to check UCEED results are given below:
IIT Bombay will release UCEED Cut Off for the 1st three rounds of seat allotment. Cut Offs have been released category-wise for the five participating institutes in the form of opening and closing ranks. UCEED 2026 Cut Off is the minimum rank one needs to secure for admission to the B.Des program.
The admission Cut Off is prepared by considering factors like seat intake, UCEED 2026 merit rank, total applicants, and admission category.
The Cut Offs (𝛿) for Part-A marks to shortlist candidates in the Open category will be 𝜇 + (𝜎⁄2) = 𝛿, where 𝜇 and 𝜎 are the average marks and standard deviation of the distribution of marks obtained by all the candidates in Part-A of UCEED 2026.
The 𝜇 and 𝜎 will be rounded off after the first decimal place. The candidates belonging to the reserved categories shall have to fulfill a relaxed Cut Off mark. In the formula used, 𝛿 is the Cut Off mark for Open category students. The formula to calculate the UCEED cutoff for different reservation categories is mentioned below:
